Cheers to One Year!
Life. It is truly a gift.
I have been blessed to capture many special life moments for families. Such a moment was last year when I got to take pictures of this sweet 'newbie'. I have been honored to take these littles pictures since they were babies, and now I had such fun watching them interact with their new little sister. Reading, cooing, stroking, looking, holding.....they were pros!
There is just something about the simplicity of Black and White. I try and capture raw emotion when I'm at a session, and some of these just make my heart flutter. The calm of a sleeping babe, the love of a mother and father, and then the quick glance of sisters...love is evident.
When babies are born something special happens...love grows and a heart breaks in ways that one never knew possible. And then...they're 1!
I have to say. I get asked to take 1 Year Old pictures quite frequently, and honestly, I have SO much fun every time! I love seeing their little personalities come out and see them interact with their world.
This sweet gal is Maggie. I took her 'newbie' photos, and when I was asked to take her 1 Year Old photos I was over the moon! Her parents let her be bold and happy, and I couldn't get enough of her sweetness!
LOOK AT THAT HAIR! Seriously, I die whenever I see this sweet photo. This baby was nothing but bubbly joyfulness spilling over the whole time I was shooting her. I mean look at her!
I love whenever the Moms bring some uniqueness to their babies sessions. Dresses, bows, props...CAKE. This session was seriously one of my all time favorites. My sweet friend of over 13 years asked to me document her Eisley's 1 Year Old birthday party and man, did she party!
Then there is Baby Wren...
This sweet thing is near and dear to my heart. She is family, and she is beautiful. Her mama loves hard but soft. Her Dad guides with a gentle hand. She is fearless and loud, but she is a jewel.
One year. One year of ups and downs. One year of triumphs and laughs. One year of growing pains. One year of living. Life, it is truly a gift.
