With a Thankful Heart
As I sit here at my desk writing this I can't help but look back at where I have been since beginning this business. I honestly just seemed to jump right in and hope for the best! I have learned so much since then and it's now a new year and chapter in my life. I have finally graduated with my bachelors after SEVEN whole years. Whew. It's been amazing to be able to dedicate time to learning about photo editing, business planning, and social media-ing instead of chemistry equations, dance history, and the human muscles. How do these go hand in hand? I can't wait to find out! I've also been amazed at how I've grown personally as well. When I first started this business I was constantly checking in to see if anyone viewed my site, how many likes I had on Facebook, if my pictures looked like other photographers I liked. Ugh! TO MUCH PRESSURE! Now I can say this is a process and I am ready to fully begin to thrive as a photographer.
I am thankful for where I've been to become the photographer I am now. I am thankful for those who have supported me and continue to do so. I am thankful for my persistence to continue this journey. I am thankful for those who have given me insight and input. I am thankful for my husband who encourages me to dream big and set goals. I am thankful for my friend who designed my logos and watermarks. I am thankful for another friend who edited them for computer use. I am thankful for new camera equipment. I am thankful for this opportunity.
My heart is full....of Thankfulness.
Please look around my NEW and IMPROVED site! Feel free to follow me on all my social media sites and leave me some comments, likes, whateva!
Since I've been M.I.A I have had the privilege of doing some sessions with dear friends, family, and even new faces. I am excited to do some "Throwback Days" to get ya'll up to speed and highlight some of my work.
First off will be my "thankful" shoots. I had the honor of shooting some candids of my cousins wedding preparation and rehearsal. It was such a joy to be able to capture sweet moments for her of her special day. I was thinking back to how my whole passion for portraits started because of this same cousin asking me to take her senior pictures, and with my film camera no less! My, how time has flown by.
Second, I was blessed to witness and photograph a baby being born. Those moments were heaven sent and so authentic. Then I was able to bless a dear friend with a free family/newborn session. These babies are beautiful and are loved dearly.
I can't wait to share more moments captured and also be able to capture new moments along the way!
